The Asia Cup ODI 2023 is set to start on August 30, 2023 with Pakistan and Nepal kick starting the action in the opener in Multan. As such, Bangladesh star batter Mohammad Naim has started his preparations for the mega event in his own special manner. Reportedly, he has hired a mind trainer who has made him walk on fire to better train his mind for high pressure situations in cricket games. A video of the same went viral on Twitter with fans flooding the comment sections.

Shakib Al Hasan set to lead Bangladesh in Asia Cup and World Cup

It was earlier reported that Bangladesh were in a look out for a ODI skipper following Tamim Iqbal’s step-down. Reportedly, Litton Das and Shakib Al Hasan were in the contention for becoming the next ODI captain. However, Bangladesh Cricket preferred Shakib Al Hasan to lead the team for two years. It was later confirmed that Shakib Al Hasan would be leading the team for at least until the ODI World Cup 2023.

While the Asia Cup is slated to take place in a hybrid model in Pakistan and Sri Lanka from August 13, whereas the ODI World Cup will be hosted by India from October 5 to November 19. The opener will feature England and New Zealand in the Narendra Modi Stadium at Ahmedabad in a rematch of the previous edition’s final. The world’s largest stadium will also host the marquee clashed between India and Pakistan, England and Australia and the final on November 19.
