Batters to reach 10000 T20 runs in least number of innings
Babar Azam reached 10000 T20 runs during the match against Peshawar Zalmi in the ongoing PSL 2024. The star batter scored a fantastic fifty and helped his side to post a good total on the board. In the process, Babar became the batter to score 10000 or more runs in the shorter format in the least number of innings. It is a great feat considering how consistent the star batter from Pakistan is. He has joined the elite league of batters with 10k or more runs in T20s.

5. Aaron Finch (Australia)
Aaron Finch took 327 innings to reach the milestone. The former T20 WC winner was brilliant for Australia in T20Is. In their WC-winning campaign in 2021, Finch was their captain and led the side well. The best performances of Finch came in T20Is. He was the first batter to score two 150+ scores in T20Is.
He was good for the Melbourne Renegades in the BBL. In the recently concluded season of the BBL, Finch announced his retirement from all forms of the game. In the IPL, Finch played for a lot of teams. However, he could not make any impact on the sides he played. He is the 2nd fastest Australian to reach the milestone.
4. David Warner (Australia)
David Warner reached the milestone of 10000 T20 runs in 303 innings. The star batter played a key role in Australia’s T20 WC-winning campaign in 2021. He was the player of the tournament after having a rough patch with the bat. Warner played a key role in SRH’s title-winning campaign in the IPL 2016.
He was the 2nd highest run scorer in the tournament behind Virat Kohli and scored a whopping 848 runs in the tournament. Warner has scored a lot of runs in the BBL as well. However, the best performances of Warner came for Australia in T20Is. He is regarded as one of the best batters in the history of the IPL.
3. Virat Kohli (India)
Virat Kohli reached the milestone of 10000 T20 runs in just 299 innings. The star batter has played all his life only for India and RCB. His 2016 season is still remembered by the fans where he scored a whopping 973 runs at an average over 81 at a SR of over 150. In the same year, Virat was also the player of the tournament in the T20 WC 2016.
In 2014, Virat was the leading run scorer and the Player of the Tournament in the T20 WC. The star batter is synonymous with a run machine and has an incredible consistency in the format. He is the fastest batter to score 4000 or more runs in T20Is. He is also the leading run-scorer in the history of the IPL.
2. Chris Gayle (West Indies)
Chris Gayle was a phenomenon in the early 2010s when he was in his prime. The Caribbean master used to score runs for fun and at a terrific SR. For three consecutive seasons, Gayle scored over 600 runs at an average of over 50 and at a SR of over 150 in the IPL, which is insane. Gayle used to tame the bowlers for fun.
It took just 285 innings for the former WI batter to score 10000 or more runs in T20 cricket. He was a part of the West Indian team that won the T20 WC in 2012 and 2016. He was one of the leading run scorers in both tournaments. Gayle has been successful in all the leagues he played. Cricket might never see a batter like him.

Babar Azam has had a terrific career in T20 cricket. He became the first batter to reach the milestone of 10000 or more runs in the format at the age of less than 30. He took only 271 innings to score 10000 runs in T20s. For Pakistan, Babar is the leading run-getter in the format. He is the leading run-scorer in the history of the PSL.
The former Pakistan skipper was brilliant in the T20 WC 2021 where he was the leading run-scorer. Babar has a lot of cricket ahead of him.
