Polish striker Robert Lewandowski has a contract with Barcelona until mid-2026.
However, the striker is 34 years old and the Spanish club understand that they will have to find a young replacement for him in the coming seasons.

According to reports, the main target is Youssoufa Moukoko, who is 17 years old and plays for Borussia Dortmund.

The Blaugrana have reportedly sent scouts to watch the 17-year-old in Dortmund’s recent Bundesliga clash against VfB Stuttgart.

Moukoko did his prospects no harm either. He scored a goal and registered an assist to help BVB cruise to a 5-0 victory.

Apparently, even Liverpool are also interested in him.

The young striker was born in Senegal, but he became a German citizen.

This season, he is already among the top scorers in the Bundesliga, where he scored six goals and provided four assists in 12 clashes played.

Moreover, his contract with Dortmund expires in mid-2023 and he has not reached an agreement to renew.

The German striker could sign with Barcelona on a free next summer.

However, Moukoko says that he feels at home at the German club.

At the same time, but he did not rule out a departure.

Moukoko said, “I’ve been here for seven years, I feel at home…. I know this club perfectly and the coach has faith in me.”
