India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been having a troubled relationship with his father, Anirudhsinh Jadeja in recent times. The latter, in an interview with Divya Bhaskar, claimed that he hasn’t been taken care of by his son. Apart from this, the senior Jadeja also claimed that his daughter-in-law has created multiple issues inside the family.

“I have some land in my village. I manage my expenses from the ₹20,000 pension of my wife. I live alone in a 2BHK flat. I have a house-help who cooks for me. I am living my life on my own terms. Even in my 2BHK flat, there is still a separate room for Ravindra.”

Senior Jadeja claimed that his son doesn’t take care of his sister, who raised him like her son.

“We have worked very hard to make Ravindra a cricketer. I used to carry 20-litre milk cans on my shoulder to earn money. I have even worked as a watchman. We come from a humble background. His sister has done even more than me. She took care of him as a mother. However, he hasn’t kept any relations with his sister either.”

“Right after their marriage, there was a dispute regarding the ownership of Ravindra’s restaurant. She (Rivaba) told him to transfer the ownership of the restaurant to her name. They even had a major fight because of that. His sister thought that he would manage things from now on, and agreed to sign.” Anirudhsinh added.

However, in reply, the Champions Trophy 2013 winner dashed the claims and called it a publicity stunt.

“Everything said in the nonsense interview recently published by Divyabhaskar is totally false and untrue. It is a one-sided story. I completely reject it. I strongly condemn the actions taken to malign my wife’s image. I also have many things to say; it’s better that I don’t make them public,” Jadeja posted on Twitter.

Meanwhile, in the third Test against England in Rajkot, the India all-rounder came out to bat at 33/3. With the skipper Rohit Sharma, he put together 204 runs. Apart from this, Sharma and Jadeja both scored a hundred each. The latter took a five-for on Day Four as the team won by 434 runs

“I would like to dedicate this POTM award to my wife. She’s working really hard behind me and supported me throughout,” Jadeja said in a clip shared by the Indian Cricket Board on Twitter.
