‘Baahubali’ actor apologises to Sonam Kapoor for comments he made against her regarding Dulquer Salman
At the pre-release screening of Dulquer Salmaan’s next Malayalam movie “King Of Kotha,” popular Baahubali actor Rana Daggubati was recently seen on camera. The Baahubali actor praised the actor at the same event and revealed that he knew Salmaan from his time in acting school.
Interestingly during the same event, Daggubati disclosed that he had reprimanded the makers of a significant Hindi film after a prominent Hindi actor kept the entire cast waiting. After this, the fans started speculating and assumed that it was none other than Sonal Kapoor and the actor started receiving trolls on social media. However, now Daggubati took to Twitter and apologise for his previous statements and said that it was just a banter.
“I am genuinely troubled by the negativity that has been aimed at Sonam due to my comments, that are totally untrue and were meant entirely in a light-hearted manner. As friends, we often exchange playful banter, and I deeply regret that my words have been misinterpreted,”
“I take this opportunity to express my heartfelt apologies to Sonam and Dulquer, both of whom I hold in great esteem. I hope this clarification puts an end to any speculation and misunderstanding. Thank you for your understanding.”
Dulquer was my junior at acting school: Rana Daggubati
During the screening of the movie, Daggubati said that Salmaan was a junior at acting school and they became good friends. However, he revealed an incident when Salman was doing a Bollywood movie which is reportedly Zoya Factor starring Salmaan and Sonam. He said that the actor made the whole cast wait while she was talking on the phone with her husband.
“Dulquer was my junior at acting school. We became friends there. He is a very polite person. He’s doing a Hindi movie and the producers are my friends. The shoot was happening near my house. I went there to meet Dulquer.” Daggubati was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
“While he was standing in the corner with the spot boy, a big Hindi heroine who was doing that movie was engrossed in a phone conversation about shopping in London with her husband. Her lack of focus affected the shots’ quality, frustrating those on set. Despite the disruptions caused by the situation, Dulquer remained patient and understanding, defusing tension and maintaining a harmonious environment.” he said.
