On July 24, Sri Lanka and Pakistan locked horns for Day 1 of the second Test match. On the other hand, West Indies and India will play the last day of the second Test. Talking about Sri Lanka vs Pakistan game, the visitors showed why they are leading the series. After being asked to bowl first, they took four wickets for just 36 runs.

Despite the likes of Dinesh Chandimal and Dhananjaya de Silva putting together 85 runs for the fifth wicket, the home side was bowled out for 166 runs. In reply, the Babar Azam-led side has played with positive intent and shaved off most of the runs. They had a poor start as they lost Imam-ul-Haq early. Despite this, the likes of Shan Masood and Abdullah Shafiq scored counter-attacking fifties at a strike between 70 to 120.

The former got out before the stumps after getting 51 off 47 balls. On the other hand, Shafique is batting on 74 with Babar Azam on eight. The stumps were taken as the light was enough on the ground. Now, for the rest of the Test match, the same light meter reading will be applicable to call the stumps every day.

Meanwhile, Pakistan finished at 145/2 at the end of Day 1.

India is waiting for the rain to stop in Trinidad

On the other hand, the Rohit Sharma-led side is waiting for the rain to stop for them to have a chance of winning the game. They have asked the home side to chase down 365 runs. At this point, the West Indies are 76/2. The first session of the play is set to be lost as the rain has stopped and the covers are being taken off.

However, it will take some time for the outfield to dry. Meanwhile, a Pakistan journalist took a dig at the Indian team and has been trolled for it.
