Aryna Sabalenka storms into fourth round of Australian Open 2024 without dropping a game

Aryna Sabalenka continued her domination in the ongoing Australian Open 2024. The second-seeded player from Russia has been winning the games for fun in the tour. But the match against Lesia Tsurenko was on a different level as she did not drop even a single game and ended up winning the third-round match without breaking a sweat. It was incredible from Sabalenka.

The Russian athlete was near perfect in the game and dominated the game all the way. She gave no chance to the Finnish player whatsoever. The way Sabalenka played, no wonder why Lesia lost the way she did despite not doing much wrong. Aryna committed zero double faults in the match. She received 27 points on receiving compared to 12 for Lesia, which is a huge difference.

Sabalenka won 76 percent of points on the first serve compared to just 37 percent from the Finnish athlete. She won a total point of 54 compared to 24 of Tsurenko and ended up on the winning side. The match finished as quickly as possible, and the audience was stunned. Aryna won the tournament in 2023 and would be hoping to defend her title in the upcoming days.

Stefanos Tsitsipas and Jannik Sinner progress to fourth round

In the men’s singles category, Stefanos Tsitsipas was able to enter the fourth round without having to worry much. The Greek overcame L Van Assche in straight sets and played a brilliant game to the acknowledgment of the crowd. The 7th seeded player defeated Assche by 6-3, 6-0, 6-4. The runner-up of last year’s Australian Open would be hoping to go a notch higher this time around.

Taylor Fritz on the other hand was able to make a comeback after losing the first set of the match against F Marozsan. Jannik Sinner was able to beat S Baez of Argentina in straight sets. The Irish sensation conceded just four games in the match and three of them came in the last set. The improvement of Sinner has been visible, and he would love to win his maiden Grand Slam.
