However, now, as the much-anticipated World Cup final looms between India and Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 19, fans have embraced this superstition, urging the legendary actor to maintain his distance from the television screens.

In his tweet, Bachchan playfully shared his observation that the Indian cricket team’s fortunes seem to shine brightest when he opts out of witnessing the live action. He tweeted this after India defeated New Zealand in the semi-final and secured their place in the final. He wrote, ” “When I don’t watch we WIN.”
