American Rapper Takeoff shot dead at Houston
Rapper Takeoff was a part of Migos, which gained fame in 2013 for the song “Versace.”
According to TMZ, rapper Takeoff, a member of the Grammy-nominated hip-hop group Migos from Atlanta, was tragically shot on Tuesday in a bowling alley. He was 28. The source added that the rapper was killed by gunfire at about 2.30 am.
The gunshot incident, according to the TMZ report, occurred following an altercation. Takeoff was shot “either in the head or near his head,” according to one of the witnesses, who was quoted in the article. On-site medical personnel declared the rapper deceased.
The altercation allegedly started over a game of dice, when someone nearby fired a gun.
Around 50 people were present at the bowling alley when the shooting took place, according to a report by Fox5. The source added that two additional persons were hurt in the event and are receiving medical attention at a nearby hospital. The police have not yet provided any details on the suspects.
Takeoff had shared a picture of himself at the bowling alley on his Instagram account some hours before the shooting.
The day before, according to the Fox5 source, he had launched the music video for his brand-new song, “Messy.”
Takeoff, who was born on June 18, 1994, is most known for being a member of the rap group Migos with his uncle Quavo and his first cousin once removed Offset, who is currently married to Cardi B.
The Atlanta-based Migos gained fame because of their blockbuster song “Versace,” which Drake remixed later.
