Ajay Jadeja says he will coach Pakistan Cricket Team

Former India cricketer Ajay Jadeja was the mentor of the Afghanistan team during the ODI World Cup 2023 in India. During the tournament, the team had a groundbreaking edition as they won four games. In their first two World Cups (2015 and 2019), they managed only one win. At one point, the team seemed to be reaching the semis. However, the team failed to do so due to inexperience.

Meanwhile, after the World Cup, Jadeja is back as the broadcaster. Meanwhile, in an interview with the Sports Tak. He was asked whether he would coach the Pakistan side. The team failed to reach the semifinal once again after playing the semis in the 2011 edition. Jadeja said he is ready to coach Pakistan. “I am ready,” he said.

“I shared my learnings with Afghans and I believe Pakistan were once like Afghanistan. You could say anything you wanted to on the face of your teammate,” he added.

Ajay Jadeja expressed disappointment with the Indian team’s selection

Recently, after the five-match T20I series, Jadeja said that Ishan Kishan should have played all the game given he didn’t play enough in the ODI World Cup 2023.

“There was a series right after the World Cup. Ishan Kishan played three matches and went home (rested). Was he really that tired after three matches that he needed rest?,” Jadeja said on Sports Tak.

“He didn’t even play a lot of games at the World Cup. He deserved his spot in the playing XI for the first few World Cup matches. How many Indian players have scored a double century on a good day?” Jadeja asked.

“Ishan Kishan didn’t even play the entire five-match T20I series against Australia. He was sent home (rested) after three matches to rest. So, if this is going to continue, how will you ensure that he is fully ready?” said Jadeja.
