Following the recent incident involving Rashmika Mandanna, it appears that malicious editors have now turned their attention to Katrina’s towel scene from the highly anticipated movie Tiger 3. Katrina’s team has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident, but it is likely that they will take legal action against those responsible for creating and sharing the deepfake picture. However, she is not the first one to become a victim of this. Earlier, it was Rashmika as a viral video of a woman went viral on social media in which the editors put Rashmika’s face on her after which it was pretty hard to recognise whether the video was real or morphed.

Something like this is honestly extremely scary: Rashmika Mandanna

Rashmika later addressed the matter and expressed how badly she is affected by seeing such things. She said that something like this is extremely scary not just for her but for everyone who falls victim to such things.

“Today as a woman and as an actor, I am thankful for my family, friends and well-wishers who are my protection and support system. But if this happened to me when I was in school or college, I genuinely can’t imagine how could I ever tackle this. We need to address this as a community and with urgency before more of us are affected by such identity,” Rashmika said.

“I feel really hurt to share this and have to talk about the deep fake video of me being spread online. Something like this is honestly extremely scary not only for me but also for each one of us who today is vulnerable to so much harm because of how technology is being misused,” she added.
