Former Australia opening batter, Justin Langer might become Lucknow Super Giants’ head coach for the IPL 2024. The team has been currently coached by Andy Flower and has qualified for playoffs in their debut season in 2022 and this year too. The former Zimbabwe international has coached a lot of teams across the globe. Meanwhile, at this point, neither LSG nor Langer have commented on the reports from Cricbuzz.

As reported by the leading media website, the likes of Jonty Rhodes (fielding coach), Morne Morkel (bowling coach), and Vijay Dahiya (assistant coach) are likely to continue in their roles. Talking about Langer, he coaches Australia and Perth Scorchers. From 2018 to 2022, he helped the team retain the Ashes in England in 2019. For the first time since 2001, the team managed to do so. Also, the team lifted their maiden T20 World Cup in 2021.

In his first four years of his coaching with the Scorchers, the team won the BBL titles three times. After his infamous exit from the Australia team as a coach, the left-hander hasn’t committed himself to coaching jobs. The Western Australian has been doing broadcasting stints for various broadcasters.
