In a lighthearted post, Kohli urged his family and friends not to pester him for match tickets on Wednesday, October 4. “As we approach the World Cup, I would humbly like to let all my friends know to not request me for tickets at all through the tournament. Enjoy from your homes pls.” Kohli wrote in his Instagram story.

Bollywood veteran actress and Kohli’s wife Anushka Sharma reshared his story and said, “and let me just add… please don’t request me to help if your messages get unanswered. Thank you for your understanding.”

India to play their first match against Australia

Known for his competitive spirit on the field, Kohli displayed his playful side off the pitch. His amusing take on the often tricky issue of ticket requests showcases his ability to balance the pressures of his role with a good sense of humour, undoubtedly resonating with fans and fellow players alike as they gear up for the highly anticipated tournament.

However, the Indian cricket team surely require Kohli’s contribution in the upcoming World Cup. However, it’d be interesting to see how will he perform. India will play their first match of the tournament against Australia on October 8 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

The surface at the MA Chidambaram Stadium is known for helping the spinners more so we should expect India to play with 3 spinners who are likely to be Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin. On the other hand, Australia have Adam Zampa and Glenn Maxwell.
