‘3 Idiots’ actor dies at the age of 67

‘3 Idiots’ actor Akhil Mishra has died at the age of just 67. He was famous for his role as the ‘Librarian’ in the movie. Fans might remember two scenes from the movie. In a scene with Aamir Khan, the lead actor fools Mishra to see the Dean, played by Boman Irani. In the second scene, the latter gives a speech to deliver on teacher’s day but the pupil gets it wrong.

The ‘Librarian’ had to face the embarrassment because of his pupil, played by Omi Vaidya. Meanwhile, as confirmed by his wife, Suzanne’s publicist, the late actor fell from a chair.

“He was on a chair in the kitchen trying to do something, when he reportedly fell down and hurt his head. He was found in a pool of blood and was rushed to the hospital. Even after efforts by the doctors, he could not survive and died after a few hours.”

Mishra is survived by his wife, Suzanne a German actress. They got married on February 3, 2009. They later got married in a traditional ceremony on September 30, 2011. Apart from ‘3 Idiots’ Mishra appeared in Don – The Chase Begins (2006). It was a remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s Don in 1978. In the remake, Shah Rukh Khan played the role of the title character, previously played by Bachchan.

Apart from this, he played a shop owner in ‘Gandhi My Father’ movie, released in 2007. Darshan Jariwala played the role of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. He also worked in a TV show, called Pradhanmantri.
