India will face West Indies at the Warner Park Stadium, Basseterre in St. Kitts and Nevis on Monday in the 2nd T20I of the 5 match series.

They lead the series 1-0 after a dominant display at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad.

The chief architect of India’s win was skipper Rohit Sharma who scored 66 runs from 40 balls and laid the perfect platform.

Rohit blasted seven fours and two sixes.

The finishing touches were provided by veteran finisher Dinesh Karthik with his blistering 41 runs knock in just 19 deliveries.

Eventually, India posted a total of 190 runs in 20 overs.

Experienced all-rounder Jason Holder was the weak link in the bowling attack as he went for 50 runs in 4 overs, bagging just wicket.

T20I debutant Alzarri Joseph also had a forgettable outing conceding 46 runs, though he picked 2 wickets.

Indian bowlers kept the pressure right from the start as they never allowed West Indies to get going.

The spinners had a field day with R Ashwin and Ravi Bishnoi picking two wickets apiece and  Ravindra Jadeja bagging one.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar also picked one wicket while Arshdeep Singh bagged two, giving away just 24 runs.

India restricted West Indies to 122 and won the match by 68 runs.

Some vital stats

Ravindra Jadeja is one wicket away from reaching the milestone of 50 wickets in T20 internationals.

Nicholas Pooran requires five fours to reach 100 fours in T20Is.

Rohit Sharma needs 44 runs to reach the landmark of 16000 runs across all formats.

Hardik Pandya requires two scalps to reach 50 wickets in T20Is.

Shreyas Iyer requires 69 runs to complete 1000 runs in T20 internationals.

Alzarri Joseph needs four wickets to get to 150 wickets across formats.

Who will win?

India have been growing stronger with every passing match.

However, their middle order is a concern.

Pant and Suryakumar Yadav are not really firing and the team is over-reliant on Rohit Sharma.

Despite this, the men in blue are overwhelming favorites to win the match.

The biggest chink in the WI team is the inconsistency of their batting line-up.

Nicholas Pooran needs to lead from the front or India will build up a 2-0 lead in the series.
