WATCH: Mumbai Indians’ new signing bowls like Lasith Malinga
During the IPL 2024 player auction, Mumbai Indians signed Sri Lanka player Nuwan Thushara who has played five T20I games. He made his international debut against Australia in February 2022, a few days before Shane Warne’s death in March 2022. Meanwhile. Thushara has taken six wickets averaging 17.66 including a best of 17/4. Apart from this, he has played in the PSL for Quetta Gladiators and Lanka Premier League for multiple teams such as Galle Gladiators (now Titans), Deccan Gladiators, and former champions, Jaffna Kings.
Meanwhile, during the auction, the right-arm pacer was registered with a base price of 50 lakh. The likes of Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore started to bid for him.
