ODI World Cup 2023: Match 21 – India vs New Zealand – Weather Report
In the 21st game of the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023, India and New Zealand will lock horns in Dharamshala on October 22. Both teams are yet to lose a game which makes it a table-topper clash. While the two-time winners, India have beaten the likes of Australia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, the Blackcaps have beaten the likes of England, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and the Netherlands.
Meanwhile, just the last ODI World Cup encounter between these two teams, these games will also be impacted by the rain. Apparently, during the day, it will rain at 11 AM, 2 PM (start of play), and 5 PM. This means that the wicket might assist the pacers from both teams if they try to swing the ball. Apart from this, not much rain will pour during the game.
Both teams would like to bowl first after winning the toss.
Talking about the game, a win for either team will ensure their place in the semis. Both teams would like to finish on number one in the points. This will mean that they play a number four side in the first semifinal of the tournament.
Also, since the 2003 ODI World Cup, the Men In Blue are yet to win a World event match against the island nation. In the 2007 T20 World Cup campaign, the Blackcaps were the only side to beat India. Apart from this, nine years later, New Zealand beat India in the T20 World Cup game. In the previous ODI World Cup semifinal, the two-time finalists beat India for the first time in a knockout.
In the inaugural World Test Championship final in 2021, the Kane Williamson-led side won against India. A few months later, India went to NZ in the T20 World Cup Super 12 match

Mohammad Rizwan Faces Backlash for Underwhelming Knock in Pakistan’s Loss to South Africa
Mohammad Rizwan has come under heavy fire for his performance during Pakistan’s loss to South Africa in a high-stakes match. Critics described his innings as lackluster, accusing him of playing a “shameless” and “criminal” knock that failed to meet the demands of the situation. His inability to accelerate scoring when required drew ire from fans and analysts alike, with many questioning his intent and decision-making under pressure.
While Rizwan’s cautious approach ensured some stability, it proved inadequate against South Africa’s aggressive game plan. His inability to shift gears in critical moments ultimately hurt Pakistan’s chances, and his performance sparked a broader debate about his role and strategy in the team’s batting order. Some commentators were particularly scathing, questioning how Rizwan could reflect on his effort given the circumstances.
The incident has added to the scrutiny of Pakistan’s overall performance in the tournament, with many demanding better strategies and execution from key players. Rizwan, regarded as a pivotal figure in the lineup, now faces the challenge of responding to the criticism and delivering under pressure in future matches.
