KL Rahul named skipper for 1st Test vs Bangladesh

Injury woes continued to plague Rohit Sharma as he was ruled out of the first Test against Bangladesh.

Rohit Sharma had sustained a thumb injury on his left hand in the 2nd ODI.

KL Rahul will skipper India in Rohit’s absence.

The BCCI also named Abhimanyu Easwaran as Rohit’s replacement for the opening Test, which starts Wednesday, December 14.

Easwaran is in great form, after scoring 299 runs in two games for the India ‘A’ side currently touring Bangladesh.
