India Women vs Pakistan Women, Asia Cup 2022 Highlights: Pakistan beat India by 13 runs.
In the Women’s Asia Cup 2022, Pakistan triumphed over India, ending the winning streak of their bitter rivals. Richa Ghosh’s 13-ball 26 at the tail end of the chase, which was Pakistan’s response to their loss to Thailand, was in vain as the Indian batting order collapsed.
India got off to a strong start thanks to Sabbhineni Meghana and Smriti Mandhana, but as the innings went on, they struggled. Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain, entered the game as late as position No. 7, while players like Jemimah Rodrigues and Smriti Mandhana struggled to get going.
Earlier, Pakistan reached 137/6 thanks to a magnificent half-century by Nida Dar. Dar and captain Bismah Maroof brought Pakistan’s innings back on track after they had lost three early wickets with a 76-run partnership.
Sidra Ameen was caught behind by Pooja Vastrakar in the fifth over, and Deepti later stumped Muneeba Ali before catching Omaima Sohail in front two deliveries later to give India the early lead. After falling for 32, Dar became Vastrakar’s second victim. Deepti Sharma finished with stats of 3/27, making her the best bowler for India. She also added a wicket in the final over.
Well fans are pissed and disappointed to say the least. But our players gave their best and in the end that’s what matters.
