India Lockdown will have its world premiere on ZEE5 on December 2.
Produced by Pranav Jain’s P J Motions Pictures, Madhur Bhandarkar’s Bhandarkar Entertainment, and Jayantilal Gada of PEN Studios, it shows how the covid-19 pandemic has affected the people of India. Aahana Kumra, Shweta Basu Prasad, Prateik Babbar, Sai Tamhankar, and Prakash Belawadi appear in it.
The covid-19 pandemic may have kept the film industry at home for months, but it has also served as a source of material for a number of stories. An anthology of films on the epidemic is being put together by directors Anubhav Sinha, Sudhir Mishra, Hansal Mehta, Ketan Mehta, and Subhash Kapoor, while filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has already released the teaser for his Telugu film Coronavirus, which was totally shot during the lockdown.
Anand Gandhi, who is best known for his work on the movies Ship of Theseus and Tumbbad, is currently writing a script for a movie that “will be set in a post-pandemic world.” Media experts emphasize that several human stories may come out of the crisis that has gripped the world for the past two years and draw attention to how poignant it is.
India Lockdown will premiere on 2nd December at Zee5.
