Happy Birthday Jemimah Rodrigues!!

Jemimah Rodrigues is celebrating her birthday today and what better gift than to be nominated for the ICC ‘Player of the Month’!!

Indian Batter Jemimah Rodrigues was nominated today for the ICC ‘Player of the Month’ award owing to her outstanding performance in the CWG 2022.

England test skipper Ben Stokes, Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza along with New Zealand all-rounder Mitchell Santner are the nominees for the Men’s category.

Sharing the nomination with Jemimah is a gold medal-winning Australian Duo Beth Mooney and Tahlia McGrath.

Rodrigues proved to be a valuable player as she had a substantial contribution in leading the Indian team to the CWG finals held in Birmingham.

She played exceptionally well and ended 5th on the run-scorers list with a whooping score of 146 runs in 5 matches by the end of the tournament.

She was also the top run-getter for India by scoring 56 runs off 46 balls not out in the crucial match against Barbados which helped her secure a place in the semi-finals.
