Australia and Pakistan clashed against each other in the 10th Warm-up game of the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Tuesday, September 3. The Kangaroos won the toss and opted to bat first and displayed a brilliant performance by scoring 351 runs in the first innings.

Meanwhile, Indiaโ€™s star cricketer Shikhar Dhawan couldn’t resist poking fun at Pakistan’s fielding performance. Dhawan, known for his jovial nature, shared a video from the match in which 2 Pakistan cricketers can be seen struggling with their fielding. The comical moments included hilarious misfield that left spectators in splits. Fans have also reacted to Dhawanโ€™s tweet and shared their opinion.

Hereโ€™s the tweet:

Brilliant batting display by Australia

Talking about the match, elected to bat first, Australia posted a formidable score in their innings. David Warner and Mitchell Marsh had a solid opening partnership, while Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne performed well in the middle overs. Glenn Maxwell and Josh Inglish also had some enjoyable moments with the bat.ย

Cameron Green managed to reach fifty, contributing to Australia‘s total of 351 runs. Haris Rauf had a tough time, conceding 78 runs in his six overs. Shaheen Afridi and Hasan Ali were respectable in their initial spells, and the spinners did reasonably well, even though the pitch didn’t provide much assistance. Usama Mir was the highest wicket-taker for Pakistan taking 2 wickets.

The Pakistan cricket team’s fielding performance has often been a cause for concern. Inconsistent ground fielding, dropped catches, and misfields have plagued their efforts on the field. These lapses in fielding have cost them crucial matches and hindered their progress. Improvement in this aspect is vital for success. However, itโ€™d be interesting to see if they come with an improved fielding side in the World Cup or not.
