Jasprit Bumrah has been out of action since June 14, when he last played an ODI against England.

However, he is now set to be included in the playing 11 for the second T20I to be played today in Nagpur.

Although back in the mix for the World Cup, Bumrah was surprisingly not selected for the 1st T20 against Australia.

His absence has led to some whispers if the pacer has actually recovered from his back injury.

Apparently he has.

In fact, the only reason he did not play the first game was because the team management did not want to rush him into action straightaway after a long injury lay-off.

As per an official source, “The team management did not want to rush him and that is the reason for his absence in the Mohali game.”

“He has been bowling full blast at the nets and he is ready for action.”

If Bumrah is selected, Umesh Yadav may have to make way despite the fact that the Nagpur stadium is his home ground.

India’s Likely 11

KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik, Axar Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel/Deepak Chahar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah
