Aamir Khan had a drinking problem!

On March 14th, Aamir Khan turned 57.

It’a a major milestone for the actor known for his bold and unconventional roles.

But as they say, nothing is perfect!

Under the facade of perfectionism lies a human being with weaknesses and warts, just like each of us.

Everyone knows that Aamir Khan has had 2 breakdowns in marriage.

But few know that he also struggled in his fight against the bottle.

In an interview to a news channel, Aamir talked about his battle with drinking and how he has given up on alcohol now..

He said “I used to drink sometimes, but I don’t anymore. Some people take two pegs and they are sorted. But I was never one of those who drank regularly. I used to drink on occasions, but whenever I did sit down to drink, I would down the entire bottle.”

However Aamir started regretting his actions.

He admitted, “When you are intoxicated, you do or say certain things which you later regret. Not that anything major has happened like that until now, but the fact that a person is no longer under their own control, that didn’t sit well with me.”

Kudos to Aamir for being open about his problem and talking honestly about it.

Aamir Khan’s next release is Laal Singh Chaddha, an adaptation of Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump.

It also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and is set for the August 2022 release.
